Help LIAAC Win One of Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good

by Dr. Gail Barouh

We’re very excited that LIAAC has been chosen from among several thousand entries to be one of the 500 finalists in the “Toyota 100 Cars for Good” campaign. Please save the date – August 8th – the day we’ll be competing with four other nonprofits to be the daily winner of a Toyota van.

Toyota created “Toyota 100 Cars for Good” campaign to provide 100 vehicles in 100 days to deserving non-profits that are doing good things in their communities.

LIAAC is competing to add a vehicle to our “Pantry on Wheels” mobile outreach program, which delivers nutritionally balanced pantry bags to hungry Long Islanders in both Nassau and Suffolk counties. It would also help us expand our other food programs – which currently provide over 65,000 meals a year – to even more people in need. We’ve even created a fun video to explain how we’ll use it if we win!

So please, spread the word to friends, family, colleagues, and networks! Share this link and ask them to vote for the Long Island Association for AIDS Care on Monday August 8th  on Facebook at Toyota 100 Cars for Good.

Your vote can help us continue to make sure our neighbors have food on their tables. Thanks!
