The LIAAC Blog

News and thoughts from the Long Island Association for AIDS Care

Welcome to LIAAC’s Newly Designed Blog!

By Dr. Gail Barouh

Not only have we re-designed our Blog, but we are also recommitting ourselves to blogging. This is just another education outreach service we offer to the community. LIAAC’s new blog will be a place where you can learn vital health information, commentary on current events and issues concerning our clients and the communities we serve. We will also be talking about the many services we offer. Services such as our hotline, community based case management, outreach services, mobile testing services for HIV, STI and Hepatitis C, substance abuse services, education and more.

We will help direct you to information on testing, street, community and provider-based outreach, substance abuse, HIV, STD and Hepatitis risk assessments, risk/harm reduction counseling, screened referrals and links to agency, local and statewide resources as well as links to HIV treatment through Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. To the left you will see our social media widgets, as well as a government widget that provides you with the latest HIV related headlines and inspirational messages that stream from our Pinterest site.

This is just another way we are showing our commitment to providing a continuum of quality client services, responsible public policy, aggressive advocacy and effective testing/preventive education. Click on the orange square in the upper right corner to get an RSS feed of this blog.
